Dr.Srinivasan Ramani is the Deputy National Editor and Senior Associate Editor with The Hindu. He anchors the opinion, data, and explanatory journalism sections in the newspaper. He is also a regular editorial writer with interests in public policy, political economy, international affairs, and sports. He is also helping build The Hindu's interactive digital output. He has a doctorate in comparative politics and political thought from the School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He is also a free and open-source enthusiast.
